Some Hoot's

Earlier in the week, we visited some of the Prosser side of the family, and today we visited some of Dan's Mom's side - the Hoot side of the family.

Luke and Maiya playing with Great Grandma's toys.

Luke showing Great Grandpa how his Nintendo DS works.

Great Grandpa Hoot is an amazing wood worker and today he took us over to his shop. He gave us a beautiful bowl, and he let me use the burning tool thing (that's not the official name, but then again, I'm not a wood worker!) to write his name and the date on the bottom of the bowl.

Evan had a good view to watch one of the guys making a bowl.

Great Grandpa explaining some wood working details to Dan and Evan.

Checking out the cool machine. Luke would have stayed all day long and watched the men work. (Maiya, on the other hand, was not as impressed.)

Old Friends

We got to spend some time with our friends the Hochstetler's while we were in Indiana.

The boys played great together and we are looking forward to their visit to NC in June 2011!

Science Central

We went to Science Central today. It's the Fort Wayne version of Discovery Place (in Charlotte). The kids had fun exploring the museum. Because it is New Year's Eve, they had a "countdown to noon" party, and they dropped a bunch of balloons from the ceiling. That was very fun and exciting - until the balloons started popping and Evan didn't like the noise.

Overall, it was a fun day!

Fort Wayne Friends

We got to spend some time with some of our high school friends while we are visiting Indiana. It was fun to watch our kids play together.

Adam was being so sweet to a sleeping Maiya.

Scott and his "mini me", Adam.

Evan couldn't take any more fun. He fell asleep just after 10:30.

Some Prosser's

Our first stop on our Indiana trip was to visit some of the Prosser side of the family. We got to see my Aunt Penny, Uncle Andy, Grandma, and some of my cousin's kids.

Here are all the kids together.

Snow!!!

The snow came late on Christmas day, so when we woke up this morning, the ground was covered! Evan was the only one that really enjoyed playing in the snow. Luke and Maiya watched from the inside.

More Christmas

Luke taking his new bike out for a test spin (actually, lots of spins!)

Evan got lots of new trucks for Christmas. There isn't much better than a new truck (or, 2) when you are a 3 year old boy!

Luke opening a few more gifts.

Playing his new Nintendo DS with Uncle Mark.

Looking at the new sand/water table and playhouse that will be set up as soon as we get back from our trip to Indiana.

Our Christmas dinner. We were so happy to have Great Grandmother, Grammy, Grandad, Uncle Mark, and Aunt Danielle with us today. We look forward to seeing more family and friends next week when we travel to Indiana!

Christmas Day

Santa came to our house!!

Evan got a car carrier.

Maiya got a baby doll stroller.

Luke got a Rip Rider 360.
