Playing

Evan built a scooter with some big blocks.

The boys are very serious about playing with their light sabers. They get into character and are quite intense.

Christmas Tree

We decorated the Christmas tree recently. I love our tree. We don't have a color theme, or matching ornaments. It doesn't look like it should be on a Martha Stewart display in a Kmart somewhere.

It has colored lights (we go against the main stream white lights), the ornaments are clumped together. The bottom half of the tree has 75% of the ornaments on it, because that's where the little hands can reach. The ornaments are ones that the kids love and have made. It's our family tree and I love it.

Our three little elves enjoyed decorating the tree, getting all of our Santa pictures set up, and playing with the ridiculous amounts of singing/dancing Christmas stuffed animals that we have.

For some reason, Luke has become obsessed with white Christmas trees. We found a small white tree with fiber optic lights on it and got it for the boys. They decorated it and it is now in their room serving as their night light.

Minute to Win it

We had our First Annual Minute to Win It Tournament!

The top picture shows the score chart, the game "Chop Stack," (using chop sticks to stack small blocks) and "Suck it up." (using a straw to suck up a colored pom pom and move it from one plate to another)

The picture below shows Ring-a-roo, (using a stick in your mouth, partners had to slide a ring from one stick to another and then into a cup), there is also "Shake, Shake, Shake," (shaking a ping pong ball out of a tissue box strapped around your waist) and also "Cookie Face" (sliding an Oreo cookie from your forehead and down to your mouth without using hands).

The last group of pictures is the game "Use Your Head." I cut a (new) pair of bright red tights in half and dropped a tennis ball into the bottom of each one. Then, we put them on our heads and used the ball to knock over empty plastic water bottles.

I didn't take a picture of the final score chart, but I do believe Aunt Danielle has a score to settle with Dan next Thanksgiving. :)

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving feast. There was way too much food, lots of laughing, and many memories.

Some of the happy and full people after the meal...

Mark was in a food coma.

The boys loved playing with Shelby.

Our happy hostess.

Beach Thankfulness

We spent the afternoon at the beach and the boys played a great game of football. There was lots of tackling and falling in the sand.

Shelby

We are visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday and we have been really enjoying Miss Shelby!

She is sweet and rolly polly and has beautiful eyes and eyelashes.

We love you, Shelby!

Fall Pictures

The Color Run

I did the Color Run (a 5K where you get powder "paint" tossed on you at four different locations throughout the run). The top picture is just one of several different start times. There were a TON of people there.

Before the race started. We were all nice and bright and clean.

After it was over, we were colored with powder paint. It was quite windy that day, so much of the powder blew off by the time we got to the finish line.

Zoo

We spent the day at the NC Zoo recently. We met up with some friends of ours and the kids ran around the zoo on a beautiful fall day.

Saw a few animals.

Got eaten by a dinosaur.

Ran from a T-Rex.

It was a perfectly pretty day!
