Knights Game

One of our summer "bucket list" activities was to go to a Charlotte Knights game. We decided to go to a game where the Knights were playing the Indianapolis Intimidators!

The outfielder threw a ball up into the stands and Luke caught it.

It was a late night and Maiya fell asleep in her sunglasses on the way home.

Happy 1/2 Birthday, Evan!

Evan's birthday is 10 days before Christmas, which really limits his birthday party options! He is finally old enough to understand what a "half birthday" is, so we took advantage of that and had a pool party for Evan's 1/2 birthday!

Running for Bling

The boys have found a hobby that they enjoy. Running! We have discovered the Hogwarts Running Club, which is a group that has "virtual races." So, they create a virtual race, themed on the Harry Potter books, and you sign up for the race (registration fees go toward a new charity every month) and run your race any time you can, within the time frame provided. 

When they finish running, we post their picture and then they get a Harry Potter themed medal! This is their first medal, and they just signed up for their second race!

More Summer

Luke had the idea to write down activities on popsicle sticks and put them in a jar. When you are bored, you choose a stick and do the activity that is listed.

Luke choose the activity that said, "Count the lines on a ruler."
